New dress!

Succumbing to peer pressure, Becca wanted to learn to sew and decided that her first project would be to sew a dress for Mabes. Mabes opened it this morning and was ecstatic. "Oh, it's beautiful! And it has my favorite pink! And a matching bow! Oh, I love it! I love Aunt Becca! Let's make her a dress right now!" In the note she included, Becca mentioned how excited she was to see Mabes at Disneyworld next month, so Mabes is now calling it her Disneyworld dress.

(the mark on her chest is from an unfortunate sparkler incident--I'll get around to posting 4th of July pics later)

I didn't sew a dress for Becca (at least not yet) but Mabes did immediately write a card to send her. Her new dress made her day, and was even more excited to call Becca and tell her about it. A lot of words describe Mabes, but "subdued" is certainly not one of them.

Oh sad it looks too big!! But I'm glad that I stuck with a size 4 and not a 5 like you were leaning towards! And the bow I tied around the dress wasn't the final headpiece so hopefully you redid it to your liking. I figured you were better at hair things than me.

I also told Mom that my fear is that Mabes will be running around in the dress and it will just fall apart due to poor craftsmanship haha so I'm holding my breath! =)

Haha it looks so cute Becca! Good job! And better that it's a little too big than too small!

It looks great on her. You are always thinking Mabes is bigger than she is!
