...though I realize that just making that statement makes me sound guilty.
I really don't watch much of that stuff, but I have been watching the occasional Deliver Me when folding laundry during Mabes' quiet time. She comes out at times and likes my "doctor show." I should have realized how much she was paying attention when, after we told her about the pregnancy, she said that when the baby came out it would "have some yucky stuff on it but then the doctor will wipe it off and wrap it in a towel and we can hold it."
And then today, she was cleaning up her room and she picked up a toy carrot and then poked the pointed side in her lower back. I thought "no...she can't be..." and then she said "Look, mommy, like in your doctor show! They put the shot in the back and there's a pinch!" Should I be embarrassed that my three-year-old is playing epidural?
No more daytime TV for me!

That is funny. My oldest used to talk about how I was going to "push the baby out" when her sister came. Ry told me I better stop watching a baby story around her! Besides the fact that when you are pregnant, those shows can become frightening!
this just made my day..scratch that, my week. i still haven't stopped laughing
Oh Allison. You should NOT be watching Discovery Health or TLC or anything having to do with pregnancy or babies (except maybe Babymama, or Father of the Bride II), and not because of Emaline. Because you do NOT need to know all the things that can go wrong. I think at month 3 I turned it off and never turned it back on. Just like you should never ever ever google a strange rash. Or any ailment. Unless you want to be assured you're going to die.
