This is Mabes' new favorite phrase, often heard when discussing anything relating to potty-training, but also any time we try to help her, do things for her, etc. The weather has been great the last couple of days, and I'm sick of winter clothes, so on Sunday I pulled out the Easter dress that Grandma Ostler made her last year. It still fits! Though when she walks, it looks a lot shorter, so I don't know how much longer she'll be able to wear it. Oh, and pardon the frizz, this picture was taken after church and the mayhem which is nursery.
These pictures were taken about 10 months apart. It's crazy how much she's grown from being a young toddler saying new words to pretty much a kid saying all sorts of crazy things with tons more hair. But she still has that same confused look on her face in both pictures, and had a crappy night last night, almost as if to remind me that she's still the same old Mabes. Thanks, Mabes.

Wow, the differences in age and size in those two pictures is surprising. I noted how much higher up on her legs the hemline is, and her face looks like she's ready for school. Tell her Grandpa gave her a cyberhug.
Oh my gosh!! That makes me kind of sad...that young face before looks so innocent...and her face now looks like she's going to get into some trouble!! But still the cutest little blond ever!
Hi, Allison. It's Cathy the Bear. I just wanted to post a comment because I always read your blog and it makes me feel like a stalked. I told Laura about that, and she suggested that I leave a comment, like "Hey! Just so you know, I read your blog, and I'm completely open about that fact!" So that's what I'm doing. It's nice to see all the cute pictures, and get some updates on the new life of Allie Alligator...
Holy Cow, she looks so tall! Mabes ditched the big cheeks, skipped toddlerhood and is now 5. What a cutie!
So cute! It's crazy how fast time goes...can't they just stay tiny for a bit longer...oh wait, not having to carry around a baby all the time and get up every two hours is pretty nice!
Dude, what is it about her facial expressions that just make me want to SQUEEZE her? I'm going to have so much squeezing energy built up by the time I come visit that it could get dicey.
