Her name is vertical/backwards because "it's more fun that way." And while she learned how to end sentences with periods, she never does; "exclamation points mean you're excited, so that's how I always end my sentences." And the speech bubbles? "It's because all I like to fink about is me!" Reminds me of the Malcolm in the Middle episode where you get glimpse into Dewey's mind and his mom is only saying, "Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey..." That would explain why she hasn't heard a word I've said this afternoon.

Moomsie, Dave thought the same thing. And maybe that happens in another episode. But in the episode I'm referring to (and this is backed up by the internet, and we all know it never lies) Lois believes she was wrongly pulled over. She tells Hal she did nothing wrong, and all three boys were in the backseat and can vouch for her. Then it flashes to each boy: In Reese's flashback, he's picking gum off his shoe while Lois is saying, "Blah blah blah blah." In Malcolm's flashback, he's drawing a pirate tattoo on his arm while Lois is saying, "Quack quack quack quack quack." And in Dewey's flashback, he's driving the car while Lois sits in the front seat saying "Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey."
The day that Mabes learns to pronounce the "th" sound will possibly be one of the saddest days in history. I love how you write how she actually speaks. Adorable!
