Halloween

I'm having internet issues so instead of writing some cute blog post about the wonders of Halloween, I'm just going to throw out some pictures before I lose my connection again.

Mabes decided to be a cowgirl. I was a little disappointed at first (where's the big fluffy sparkly costume I get to make?), but then realized that it would be super easy. And Annabelle could wear Mabes' old puppy costume, and it would totally fit with her personality. And if I really wanted to, I could make her be a puppy in a big fluffy sparkly tutu. I decided that the easy route sounded appealing, so she just wore brown pants.

Our church's trunk-or-treat was at the park, and Mabes was excited to ride the horse (and Clifford) and yell "Yeehaw!" at the top of her lungs.

My absolute favorite part of the night was when I was trunk-or-treating with Mabes and I was thinking I should go grab Annabelle so Dave wouldn't have to worry about her while he handed out candy. As I turned the corner to where our van was, I see this:

Puppy!

Saturday morning, Mabes and Annabelle get ready to hollow out the pumpkin for Dave. They're very excited:

Dave finishes off the pumpkin:

(Yes, we have a problem. Mabes is totally over her Mario obsession, but apparently we're not.)

The pumpkin Halloween night:

We were very entertained by the kids who raved in amazement. Even though I'm usually annoyed by trick-or-treating teenagers, the ones that asked permission to take pictures to post on facebook totally got extra candy.

Cutest cowboy (or whatever) and puppy ever. And an outstanding pumpkin. Between that masterpiece and Joel's Angry Birds, I feel so ashamed, having done nothing but triangle eyes and noses with toothless smiles for 30+ years.

That pumpkin is seriously impressive! Also, Annabelle with her huge grins is one of the cutest things of all time.
