(It's important to note that the title of this post is a reference to
White Christmas, NOT the
mid-90s TV show. Just wanted to clarify.)
We brought Annabelle home on Saturday and Mabes loved her. (Please excuse the tired-looking woman in the green shirt. I was hormonal, emotional, and hadn't seen Mabes in days.) After the introductions and pictures, I took her to my room to change her and Mabes came to help. She'd been saying for months that she would get the diapers and wipes and wasn't going to miss the first opportunity.

She loves holding her baby sister and just watching her sleep. She was so excited to go to church on Sunday and tell everyone about her baby.

Mabes with her welcome home gift to Annabelle: her very own stuffed lamb. We're not sure if we'll call her Ricecake Jr., Nickanoo, or let Annabelle come up with her own name. But we're home and adjusting to life with a newborn again. I'm tired and looking forward to my mom's arrival tomorrow.

Wow, look at all that hair! That's more than I've seen on a baby related to me! Can't wait to squeeze you all.
Dude, I'm not even hormonal and I still cried. And watched it twice. Mabes is going to be a such a good big sister!
That is way too precious. What adorable sisters they are.
Love it! What a tender moment. So excited for your family! Mabes was VERY excited on Sunday! Too cute!
That was so sweet--I cried, too. I love how sweet Mabes is and how excited she is.
P.S. When I saw the title of your blog post I thought of the 90's TV show theme song. Sorry.
oh my gosh that is SO SWEET and I was totally singing "White Christmas Sisters" in my head as soon as I saw the title to your post. I'm with you friend. Great moment you caught on film. love it!
Waaaaah! I'm crying! That was so, so sweet.
So sweet...brought tears to my eyes...maybe I'm still hormonal. Such sweet girls...nothing better than a sister!
