Exhibit A:
So I keep telling myself I'm just being silly when I start to wonder if the ultrasound was wrong. I mean, "they" say children have stronger instincts and know what the pregnant mom is having. Mabes was absolutely convinced it was a boy. "They" say if you're carrying low and out front, you're having a boy. I'm carrying much lower this time; some days it looks like I'm shoplifting watermelons. I keep pushing those thoughts out of my head, but the other day at the grocery store the checker asked, "Have we discussed what you're having yet?" I said I didn't think so, but I'm having a girl. "No you're not. With the way you're carrying, that's definitely a boy."
Exhibit B:
I'll be happy either way, but I'd just like to know. Especially given Mabes' reaction last time. Now that she's happy about a girl, I don't want to throw her for a loop again. And I'd like to know if I should buy a blue sleeper or two. So reassure me: it's just an old wives tale, it's full of crap, and I'm carrying lower because this is a second baby, right? Anyone? Mom? Sarah? Bueller?

I ALWAYS carried low. Like, I couldn't sit with my knees together, let alone legs crossed. Old wives' is aptly named because when you're old, your memory becomes warped and you start yelling crazy things and pointing your finger at nonexistent objects. You look great. It's a girl.
I am personally hoping for a boy.....BatMAN is just too good of a name to waste!!! You look fantastic! Not too much longer now!
Yeah, I had no heartburn and my baby had a head FULL of hair. After he was born I was always asked about my heartburn. Silly Old Wives.
I remember when I was pregnant with Jonas I kept having dreams that he was a girl even though they told me he would be a boy.
I carried my second much lower, and they were the same sex. I just figured my body was flabbier and couldn't hold it up!
Nancy Clemens says it's a girl. Happy Thanksgiving!
My 2nd and 3rd children were lower...and the 1st was a boy and the 2nd and 3rd were girls. As someone else said, I figure the muscles just aren't holding things up as much anymore. The last one seemed high and low. After she came out, I figured out that it was because she was so HUGE! (well, huge for me.) --Aunt Cheryl
Allison,
Just wanted to let you know that Lorie at work just became a Grandma a few weeks ago. Can you believe it?... well they told her daughter that it was definately a boy. She had 3 ultrasounds done the last one just about 2 weeks before the baby was born. WELLLLL it was a girl! Surprise Surprise.
I just barely saw this post... I don't know how I missed it on my google reader. Maybe because there were tons of people here for Thanksgiving. I always carried low and look what I've got!
