Thunder stealing

Granted, it's with permission. Laura sent me this picture a week ago but made me promise not to post it until she posted it with her Orlando pictures. Since the trip was a month ago, I told her she needed to at least get a couple of pictures up. She gave herself a one week window, and said that if she didn't post the picture in that week, I could go ahead and post this. Laura didn't post (not surprising, as a good way to get her to not do something is to ask her to do it), so here you go. This picture makes me happy. It's like her shirt is the perfect caption for her face.
And since she's turned 4, I've noticed she just looks different. Like a kid. Not my baby, not my baby pretending to be a kid. A real little girl walkin' around thinking she's people. With opinions and defiance and silliness. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Every night when I check on her after she's asleep, I just find myself thinking, "When did you get so big?"

Hahaha. Dang it! I was totally going to post this weekend and then... well. I think we know how that turned out.

I still can't look at it and not giggle. I feel like that picture is what happiness looks like.

The reverse is true for me. I look at pictures of her as a baby, and think - when was she so little? And you guys were living with me! But it seems like she has always had a big kid personality.

She has really grown up. The time goes by so fast. She is getting into the Big Sister role... She is just a great child with a great personality. I love her to pieces..
