- Her cooking. She's our in-house Julia Child (but still centuries younger and much sexier).
- She's smart and loves to learn so much about so much. When maps are desired wall art and you can carry on debates over the merits of Chicago Style, MLA and Strunk & White, you can call yourself a nerd.
- Great sense of humor. She's a nerd but she loves to laugh more than anything. When you intertwine Seinfeld and Dumb and Dumber into the discussion on style formats, then you have a true Renaissance Woman.
- She puts up with us. She listens, she cooks, she pushes us to be our best, and she even cleans up floppies (fortunately, the last one is just for one of us).
- Dave & Mabes
(Mabes isn't much help in showing me how to post a pic here, so we'll save that for later)

Happy Birthday!! Hope you get all the yummy food you desire!! Oh, and anything else you might want!
How sweet of you, Dave. I'm impressed that you could include a link (floppies) which is something *I* haven't figured out!
Yay for Allison. Happy Birthday!
Thirty years ago was one of the best days of my life, in part because it meant there would be many more really good days, courtesy of my little Blondie. Sunday walks, "stonks," middle-of-the-night study sessions (or bee extermination), ice skating (sort of), serious and not-so-serious conversations, the "Allison Principle" of taking delight in the good fortune of others... I could go on for pages, but won't, as The Simpsons will be on soon. Allison understands. Dad
Way to go Dave! Allison is the best! She's a friend that I really want to be more like in every way. Love you all-Dez
That was fun to read. I think everyone who knows Allison learns something from her. Happy Birthday and welcome to the 30 somethings.
