I love spring, part 2

Today we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous spring weather and head to the park after library class. We decided to be bold and not take jackets, but I was soon wishing we had worn shorts or at least flip flops. Mabes was having such a blast running around in the grass, chasing her friend Henry, and playing in the sand, that once we saw turtles (!) in the lake, I thought she was going to pass out in joy. We walked around the small lake and must have seen two dozen turtles in addition to the ducks and geese we usually see there.

I was so mad that I didn't bring my camera, but had my phone with me so used it to take some pictures. This is usually pointless, as I take pictures with my phone but never do anything with them, but today I decided to figure out how to get pictures from my phone on to my computer. Now I just need to figure out how to use call waiting and I'll be golden.

Here's Mabes watching a turtle sunning himself on a rock. That's Edgar just to the right of her ear:

And here she is clutching her shirt as she realizes she has a turtle on her shirt and she's looking at a turtle:

If you look closely, you can see other turtle heads bobbing up out of the water. Oh, and I got my hair cut to my collarbone. I probably could have gone shorter, but it was at least 6 inches and I didn't want to freak Mabes out with a drastic cut, and I wanted to be able to put it in a ponytail. I'll take and post a picture later--I'm a hot mess from the park this morning!

EDGAR LIVES!

Also, your phone takes really good pictures! And that face Mabes is making is classic.

Yes! I love when there is a new Mabes post. And this time I even get a shout out, woo hoo! That picture of pure banana pudding happiness is priceless.
